Before & After
For clients throughout Chicagoland, North Shore Vascular treats a variety of medical conditions involving veins and arteries, including spider veins and varicose veins. We take a conservative approach to treatment, giving you the least-invasive procedure possible to solve the problem, and aiming to get it right from the start.
If you’re looking to remove the pain and unsightliness of inflamed varicose veins, come to us. To get a clear sense of the difference our treatments can make, browse the varicose vein before-and-after photos on this page. A picture is worth a thousand words, and the results speak for themselves.
Our ProceduresAt North Shore Vascular, a number of different vein treatments are used to treat varicose and spider veins. These treatments include:
- EVLT & RF:. The most popular varicose vein treatments today are endovenous laser therapy (EVLT) and radiofrequency ablation therapy (RF). Minimally invasive but highly effective treatments, EVLT and RF seal the affected vein, preventing blood from pooling in the area.
- Microphlebectomy: Microphlebectomy is another minimally invasive treatment in which Dr. Golan makes a tiny incision in the skin, removing the varicose vein.
- Sclerotherapy: Spider veins and small varicose veins are treated with sclerotherapy. At North Shore Vascular, only FDA-approved, brand-name sclerotherapy solutions are used. The practitioner injects the solution into the spider vein. Because patients typically experience very little, if any, discomfort, anesthesia is not required. The solution causes the vein to swell and close. Best results are observed after 3 or 4 months.
When you come to our office, we will look carefully at your vein problem to determine which of the above procedures is the best solution for your needs.
